Prosciutto Asparagus


Roasted Asparagus topped with crispy prosciutto and parmesan, is a simple and elegant side dish!


Ingredients:

  • 7 slices prosciutto

  • 2 pounds asparagus

  • Parmesan cheese (sliced or shredded)

  • Olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Prep the Asparagus:

    • Trim the woody ends off the asparagus spears.

    • Toss them with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  2. Roast Asparagus:

    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    • Arrange the seasoned asparagus on a parchment-lined sheet pan and roast for 15 minutes, or until tender and slightly caramelized.

  3. Crisp the Prosciutto:

    • Place the prosciutto slices on a separate parchment-lined sheet pan.

    • Bake in the same oven for about 10 minutes, or until crispy.

    • Remove, let cool, and crumble into small pieces.

  4. Assemble the Dish:

    • Transfer the roasted asparagus to a serving dish.

    • Sprinkle with crumbled prosciutto and Parmesan cheese.

    • Drizzle with olive oil for added flavor.
