Ham & Swiss Quiche


A savory and satisfying classic, this Ham and Swiss Quiche features a flaky crust and is generously loaded with tender ham and melty Swiss cheese. An easy-to-make dish that's perfect for brunch or any time of the day!


Ingredients:

Filling:

  • 225g diced ham

  • 190g Swiss cheese, shredded

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1½ cups cream

  • 1–2 green onions, diced

  • ⅛ tsp nutmeg

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Crust:

  • 1lb Tenderflake 

  • 1 egg

  • 5½ cups flour

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp vinegar

  • Water (as needed)

Directions:

  1. Preheat Oven:

    • Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Prepare the Pie Crust:

    • Follow the instructions on the Tenderflake box to prepare your crust.

    • Roll out the dough, fit it into a pie dish, and trim any excess. Set aside.

  3. Make the Filling:

    • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and cream until smooth.

    • Stir in the diced ham, shredded Swiss cheese, green onions, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

  4. Assemble the Quiche:

    • Pour the filling mixture into the prepared pie shell. Spread evenly.

  5. Bake:

    • Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for 45–60 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is lightly golden.

    • Check doneness by inserting a knife or toothpick into the center—it should come out clean.

  6. Cool and Serve:

    • Allow the quiche to cool slightly before slicing.
