Ham & Swiss Quiche
Ingredients:
Filling:
225g diced ham
190g Swiss cheese, shredded
3 large eggs
1½ cups cream
1–2 green onions, diced
⅛ tsp nutmeg
Salt and pepper, to taste
Crust:
1lb Tenderflake
1 egg
5½ cups flour
2 tsp salt
1 tbsp vinegar
Water (as needed)
Directions:
Preheat Oven:
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Pie Crust:
Follow the instructions on the Tenderflake box to prepare your crust.
Roll out the dough, fit it into a pie dish, and trim any excess. Set aside.
Make the Filling:
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and cream until smooth.
Stir in the diced ham, shredded Swiss cheese, green onions, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
Assemble the Quiche:
Pour the filling mixture into the prepared pie shell. Spread evenly.
Bake:
Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for 45–60 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is lightly golden.
Check doneness by inserting a knife or toothpick into the center—it should come out clean.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the quiche to cool slightly before slicing.
