Maple Pecan Bacon Baked Brie
Ingredients:
170g (6 oz) brie wheel
4 oz bacon, diced
1 oz pecan pieces
1 oz maple syrup
Baguette, sliced
Olive oil (for drizzling)
Directions:
Prepare the Bacon-Pecan Topping:
In a pan over medium heat, cook the diced bacon until about ¾ done.
Drain the fat from the pan, then add the pecan pieces. Toast the pecans with the bacon, stirring constantly.
Once the bacon is crispy and the pecans are slightly toasted, stir in the maple syrup.
Remove from heat and toss to fully coat the bacon and nuts. Set aside.
Bake the Brie:
Score the top of the brie wheel and place it in a brie baker or an oven-safe dish.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until the brie is soft and gooey.
Prepare the Baguette:
Lay the sliced baguette on a sheet pan and drizzle with olive oil.
Toast in the oven, until lightly toasted.
Assemble and Serve:
Remove the brie from the oven and top it with the maple bacon pecan mixture.
Serve immediately with the toasted baguette slices.
