Hodge Podge


Warm up with this classic hodge podge recipe that everyone in your family will enjoy!


Ingredients:

  • ½ lb green beans
  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved
  • ¾ lb carrots
  • ¾ lb turnip
  • ½ lb parsnip
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 cup cream 
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp chives, chopped  

Directions:

  1. In a large pot add butter and garlic, sauteing for a few minutes.

  2. Add carrot, potato, turnip and parsnips, stir together then add in cream and water.

  3. Cook until the veg is ¾ done and add beans.

  4. Once the beans are tender, season with salt and pepper.

  5. Add in parsley and chives and stir everything together.
