These light, tasty crepes are perfect for any occasion, whether you're treating yourself to a sweet breakfast or dessert. With just a few ingredients and minimal effort, these homemade crepes are sure to become a favorite in your kitchen!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 3 large eggs

  • 2 cups milk

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

  • Fresh raspberries or your favourite berries (for filling)

  • Chocolate sauce (for drizzling)

  • Whipped cream (optional)

  • Butter and maple syrup (optional, for plain crepes)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the dry ingredients: In a small bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, and salt.

  2. Mix the wet ingredients: In a large bowl, beat the eggs and milk together with an electric mixer until smooth and fully combined.

  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the sifted dry ingredients to the egg mixture, mixing until you have a smooth batter.

  4. Stir in the butter: Add the melted butter and stir until fully incorporated.

  5. Heat the pan: Lightly grease a crepe pan or nonstick skillet and heat over medium heat.

  6. Cook the crepes: Pour about 4 tbsp of batter into the pan. Tilt and rotate the pan to spread the batter thin and evenly.

  7. Flip the crepes: Cook until the edges start to brown, then flip and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes until golden.

  8. Repeat: Continue with the remaining batter, greasing the pan as needed.

To Serve:

  • For raspberry-filled crepes, place a few fresh raspberries in the center of each crepe, roll them up, and drizzle with chocolate sauce. Top with a dollop of whipped cream for extra indulgence.

  • If you prefer a simple option, serve the crepes plain with butter and maple syrup.
