Chili Cheese Cups
These chili cheese cups are the perfect bite sized snack or appetizer for any gathering! Crispy, golden cheese cups filled with hearty, flavourful chili. Topped with a dollop of creamy sour cream and a sprinkle of extra cheddar, these savory treats pack a punch of flavor in every bite!
Ingredients:
2 cups chili
12 oz shredded cheddar cheese
4 oz shredded parmesan cheese
Sour cream (for garnish)
Shredded cheddar cheese (for garnish)
Directions:
Prepare the Cheese Cups:
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
In a bowl, combine the shredded cheddar and parmesan cheese.
Form Cheese Mounds:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture onto the parchment paper, spacing each mound apart to allow the cheese to spread as it melts.
Bake:
Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 9 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and is golden brown around the edges.
Shape the Cheese Cups:
Remove the cheese from the oven. If any cheese has melted together, carefully separate it while it’s still soft.
Immediately place each melted cheese round over the upside-down cups of a mini muffin tin. Allow the cheese to cool and harden into cup shapes.
Assemble:
Once the cheese cups have set, fill each one with hot chili.
Garnish with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.
Tips:
If the cheese hardens before you've shaped all of the cups, return the cheese to the oven for a few seconds to soften it again.
